PHOTOGRAPHY RIGHTS & LICENSING

The following is a plain-language overview for mockup purposes. Final legal language should be reviewed before launch.

  1. 01. Copyright Ownership

    Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Zara retains copyright to the photographs she creates. Delivery of finished work does not by itself transfer copyright ownership.

  2. 02. RAW and Original Material

    RAW files, original captures, working files, unedited photographs and other source material remain Zara’s creative property unless a written agreement specifically states otherwise.

  3. 03. Client Delivery

    Receiving finished photographs does not automatically transfer copyright ownership. Clients receive the usage rights or license agreed upon for their project.

  4. 04. Permitted Use

    Images may be copied, shared or published only within the rights included in the applicable agreement or license. Uses outside that scope require permission.

  5. 05. Social Media

    Clients may share images on social media when that use is included in the agreement. Credit to Zara Photography is appreciated where practical and appropriate.

  6. 06. Commercial Licensing

    Editorial, advertising, campaign, publication and brand use may require specific licensing based on medium, geography, duration, audience and campaign scope.

  7. 07. Third-Party Usage

    A client’s vendors, partners, sponsors, publications, designers or other third parties do not automatically inherit unrestricted rights to Zara’s images.

  8. 08. Editing and Alteration

    Material modification, filters, AI alteration, compositing or other changes outside the agreed delivery may require permission.

  9. 09. Portfolio Rights

    Zara may display commissioned work in her portfolio, website, social platforms and studio materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  10. 10. Privacy & Confidential Assignments

    Private, embargoed, celebrity, corporate or sensitive assignments can be governed by separate confidentiality terms when required.

A NOTE ON USAGE

Usage rights are part of the creative process. If you are unsure whether a planned use is covered, ask before publishing or distributing the image.
